Privacy policy

The English version of these policies is the official version for purchases, billing, and payment processing.

This Privacy policy explains how LicScript Softwares (“LicScript”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit https://licscript.com, contact us, request a quote, buy a license or subscription, pay an invoice, or receive support.

We do not have a separate data-protection officer. The same contact handles privacy requests.

2. Scope

This policy covers the LicScript marketing site, contact forms, invoices, and checkout we operate. Product panels you self-host (for example a VPNBilling or VeloTun instance on your server) are under your control; we are not the controller of your end-user VPN customers unless we host that panel for you under a managed plan.

Third-party sites we link to have their own policies.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Name, email address, company name, and message content (contact form or email).
• Billing details needed to issue an invoice: name, email, company, address if you provide it, tax ID if you provide it, and order notes (domain, server count, scope of work).
• Support tickets, screenshots, and logs you send us.

Payment information

• We receive payment status, amount, currency, transaction ID, and the email associated with the payment from our processors.
• We do not collect or store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or card magnetic-stripe data. Card entry happens on the payment processor’s page or fields.
• For PayPal or similar wallets we may receive the payer email and a processor transaction reference.
• For cryptocurrency payments we may receive wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and amounts from the crypto processor.

Technical information

• IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps (web server and security logs).
• Approximate location derived from IP (country / city level) for fraud prevention and localization.
• License verification metadata (license key, bound domain, IP, success/failure) when a product checks in with our license servers.

Cookies

This public site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for security, language preference, and load balancing if present. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or sell browsing data. If we later add analytics, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.

4. How we use information

• Respond to inquiries and provide quotes.
• Create and fulfill orders, deliver licenses, and provide hosted access.
• Process payments, prevent fraud, and handle refunds or disputes.
• Provide support and notify you about your account, renewals, or security issues.
• Operate, secure, and debug our websites and license services.
• Comply with law, accounting, and tax record-keeping.
• Improve products based on aggregated, non-identifying usage where possible.

We do not sell personal information and we do not rent our contact list.

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK and similar laws)

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on:

• Contract — to take steps at your request and to perform a purchase or service agreement.
• Legitimate interests — to secure our services, prevent abuse, keep basic logs, and respond to general website inquiries.
• Legal obligation — invoices, tax, and responding to lawful requests.
• Consent — where we ask for it (for example optional marketing email). You may withdraw consent by emailing us.

6. Payment processors and other sharing

We share data only as needed to run the business:

• Payment processors — amount, currency, order reference, and customer email so they can collect payment. They act as independent controllers or processors of card/wallet data. Their policies apply to data they collect on their forms.
• Hosting, email, DNS, and CDN providers — to serve the site, send license and invoice email, and absorb traffic.
• Professional advisers — accountants or lawyers under confidentiality, if needed.
• Authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or fraud prevention.

We do not share your data with unrelated advertisers. If a managed product is hosted for you, subprocessors that host that environment may process your panel data under our instructions.

7. International transfers

We are based in Bangladesh and use infrastructure that may be in other countries (for example the United States or the European Union) for hosting, email, and payment processing. By using the site or paying us, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country. We use reputable providers and limit access to what is needed.

8. Retention

• Contact-form messages: typically up to 24 months after the last reply, unless a project continues.
• Invoices, payment records, and license records: at least 7 years for accounting and tax, or longer if a dispute is open.
• Server and security logs: typically 30–90 days unless needed for an investigation.
• Support tickets: for the life of the customer relationship plus a reasonable archive period.

When data is no longer needed we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege administration, and payment processors that handle card data so we do not store PAN. No internet transmission is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting license keys and panel passwords we send you.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know and delete; we do not sell personal information as that term is commonly defined.

To exercise a right, email [email protected] from the address we have on file and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days).

You may also opt out of non-essential email by replying “unsubscribe”. Transactional messages about orders, invoices, security, and licenses will still be sent as needed to perform the contract.

11. Children

Our services are for people 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Automated decisions

We may use automated fraud signals from payment processors (for example a declined high-risk transaction). We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects other than declining a suspicious payment.

13. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version here and changing the date above. Material changes that affect an existing paid service will also be noted by email if we have your address, where practical.
